Welcome to Elder Lloyd's blog. We are in Provo getting ready to drop off our son Adam to the MTC. Thursday night, we met with President Meyer and Adam was set apart as a full-time missionary in the Guatemala Guatemala City North Mission. As President Meyer and Adam's father put their hands on his head, we knew that he was being sent out just like the Savior had directed. We attended General Conference on Saturday and stood in the standby line for 5 hours. Next to us was a newlywed couple. The wife had recently returned from a mission in Guatemala. Since we believe there are no accidents, we took the opportunity to spend the next few hours to learn first hand about preaching the gospel in Guatemala. Adam learned that many of the people he will be teaching cannot read. Accordingly, we will make sure that he has the LDS Gospel Picture Resource book and pictures of the temples.

Wednesday we will say goodbye to our youngest son. This will be a little difficult because he has been so helpful to us in our advancing years. However, he will be on the Lord's errand and we have no doubt that as a consequence, we will be greatly blessed as a family for sharing him with the Lord.
